He knows he's more powerful than the average Autobot, and will throw himself at larger threats accordingly. He is respected by both the Autobots and Decepticons, due to his courage and self-sacrifice. There is a special enmity between him and Galvatron for this reason, for Galvatron may be the most deadly foe of all.
>After a stint on Earth, miscellaneous assistance to the Autobots in the wake of the Surge, and the defeat of D-Void and the Decepticons, "Ultra Magnus" accompanied Rodimus and crew aboard the Lost Light on their quest to find the Knights of Cybertron, serving as Rodimus's second-in-command. After a near-fatal encounter with Overlord, and an automated return to a now-insane Tyrest, Ambus's deception would be revealed, but he continued wearing the armor and serving the Lost Light as "Ultra Magnus" thereafter, although he would give up the role of Duly Appointed Enforcer of the Tyrest Accord to Fortress Maximus.

Magnus turns around to see the samurai out of breath, and narrows his optics. "Drift, where have you been?"
"Getting in touch with myself as a person. You know, getting to know my inner self as a true believer of peace and harmony within our sparks." He smiles.
